Finally got my copy of DNA Magazine with my article in it!
Hey everyone, I’m enlisting the help of all my friends to get my songs on Portland, Oregon’s hit radio station Z100. Click this link to go to the request page. It only takes a minute and it would mean the world to me.
Feel free to request “Cassidy [Art of Monday Remix]” or “Bridges [Art of Monday Remix]” since those two have the most radio playability. Click to remind yourself which is your favorite by listening on iTunes or listen to it on Spotify.
Feel free to reblog this, share it on Twitter, make a Facebook post, anything to help get the word out and get your friends to write in to request as well.
Again, it only takes a minute and it means a lot to me.

Love to everyone,
-Jonathen
I just spent twenty minutes crying over my youth because I realized that this video was added to youtube over four years ago. Where has my life gone?

Understand that if I wrote a song for you, it was serious. Don’t assume that I can do that for just anyone.

To all my listeners, the latest issue of DNA Magazine has hit the shelves! You can pick it up at Barnes and Noble, order it online, and if you’re a member of DNA you can access the article online.
The article is in the entertainment section, Marc Andrews interviews me and discusses my new album. I haven’t yet seen the full article, but I’m really excited to pick up my copy.
This is the magazine cover to look for:

Retweets, reposts etc are much appreciated. :)

So now that the latest album has dropped, can start focusing on the real goal of getting the new album recorded. it’s called Polaroid Kid.
I once had someone ask me why I’m so completely obsessed with Polaroids.
Well, it’s because the film is expensive and you can’t take it back.
So Polaroids are only taken when something is BIG.

This song, from Tori’s album, “From The Choirgirl Hotel” along with “Jackie’s Strength,” best describes adulthood.
“I guess you go too far when pianos try to be guitars.”
Sometimes I think this was for me.

Holy crap, life is crazy. It seems that my emotions are more of a rollercoaster than usual. I’ve been writing and recording when I can, getting personal things sorted, etc. I’m pretty close to getting fired from my day-job and I’ll be starting school here pretty soon.
I’m taking a mental health break in less than two weeks, I’ll be back in California, just taking some time away from work and Oregon. I plan on doing some writing while I’m down there as well, and the new May issue for DNA Magazine should be out on the shelves by the time I’m down there.
I don’t say this out of laziness, I say it out of exhaustion. I really need a publicist. With everything I’m trying to juggle lately, I’m finding it difficult to find the time to reach out to the media. If any of you know of an online blog, a magazine (print or online), vlogger (youtuber), anything or anyone that might be interested in featuring my music, please let me know or write into them directly. It’s just like sending out a resume, eventually one of them will be interested.
I’ve succeeded in my latest endeavor of releasing the remixes. It took much longer than planned (but that’s what happens when the producer is a busy-bee-genius with a ton on his plate), but I’m happy to say it’s already become more widely-downloaded than the original “Cassidy” EP. The next step is to get the music out to as many people as possible. The ultimate goal is to get signed to a recording label so I can start recording the real music. Okay, maybe I shouldn’t say real music, but the music I’ve slaved over for so long, the music that really came straight from my heart. The good stuff.
The only way we can make this happen is for everyone to tell a friend. Or a blog. Or a Youtuber. Or a hooker. I really don’t care. If you like the new album, tell someone. The more people who know, the better.
I really do appreciate all the support I’ve had thus far, those amazing friends who reblog on Tumblr, retweet on Twitter, like or comment on Facebook, rate and review on iTunes and Amazon. I’m so grateful to have the support of all my friends and listeners.
So if you follow any blogs, read any favorite magazines, watch entertaining hoes on YouTube, write in and tell them. Nothing is too big or too small. I’m just grateful for the faith and support.
Usually they will ask for links so they can hear the music beforehand, so they can make sure it doesn’t suck too bad. Here they are.

I really am so grateful for everyone’s help. And I’m overwhelmed by the efforts of the people who have been supporting my effort and spreading the word about the music.
This is what I love.

So I’ve been working on the new music. Recorded a demo today that turned out well, but I don’t think it will ever see the light of day. We’re also getting closer to the release of the May issue of DNA Magazine, which will feature an article about my new album, “Wired,” as well as a personal interview discussing my music and where it comes from.
Quite honestly, the last few weeks have been chaos. I think I’ve lost ten pounds. And that’s no good. I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who has liked and shared my Facebook page with their friends, retweeted any news pertaining to my music on Twitter, or shared my blogs on Tumblr. It really means so much to me that I have amazing friends like you who believe in what I’m doing and aren’t afraid to share it with the world. Every last one of you is helping to make my lifelong dreams come true.
And I could really use the support these days.
Warm fuzzies to all of you.

Just reaching out to all my friends, requesting that you all check out my Facebook page. The entertainment writer for DNA Magazine just ‘liked’ my page, I had no idea the guy writing the article on my new album was so hot.
Don’t forget, you can share the posts and page on your own Facebook wall to let all your friends know. You can also reblog this post to help spread the good music. I appreciate all the support I’ve received from my friends and listeners over the last few years. We’re getting the music the attention it deserves! I’m so very grateful.

I know, I know. Jonathen, shut up. I can’t help it, I’m just so incredibly excited about this wonderful opportunity, and I want to be sure all my friends and listeners know about it.

The article about my new album will be in this upcoming May issue. So be sure to check it out and tell your friends. You can check them out on Twitter to stay updated, or get connected with me on my Twitter or Facebook.
Warm fuzzies,
-Jonathen
I just submitted a massive, last payment on my George Steck 1930s baby grand piano.

George. He’s all mine.

Here are some photos from a shoot the other day, DNA Magazine, based out of Australia, will probably use a couple of these for the article they’re doing on my music. It will be out in the May issue. You can check out the magazine online at http://www.dnamagazine.com.au or you can drop by Barnes and Noble (or any other store that carries it) in late April to pick up a hard copy.
Don’t forget to check out the album that DNA will be reviewing. You can hear it on iTunes.
